UXmockup functions as both an online and offline service. When or using the panel anonymously (ie, without a UXmockup account) you can still export horizontal prototypes, slideshows and tutorial documents to your local hard drive.

A

A CompSet is current when one of the LayerComps within the CompSet is currently active.

The UXmockup panel cannot export multiple CompSets at the same time, for this functionality please see the Manager App.

B

To begin the export process, click the export icon in the panel toolbar.

02

Once the Export CompSet wizard appears you’ll be prompted to select a template. Each template in the list is an html page designed to present your sequence of LayerComps as a horizontal prototype, slideshow or tutorial page.

A

Once a template has been selected you can click Next to continue.

03

The next step is selecting the image format for your export.

A

When the JPEG format is selected a slider appears allowing you to control the amount of compression. The slider range is from 0 to 100 where 0 represents the most compression and 100 is the highest quality.

B

During this step you can also choose to create a backup of the current PSD or create a partial PSD which will contain only the assets for the current CompSet being exported.

04

UXmockup will now prompt you to select a destination on your hard drive where the exported assets will be saved.

05

During the export process the canvas area will toggle through each LayerComp in sequence. As each LayerComp appears on canvas UXmockup will generate the assets for that LayerComp and compile any metadata entered about that LayerComp.

06

At the end of the export process the panel will offer to load up the export in your local browser. To exit the export wizard click the Close button.

07

Upon returning to the location selected to export your CompSet you can find all the assets to present your horizontal prototype, slideshow or tutorial document.

The exported presentation is a fully self contained standalone experience. When viewing the locally exported files in your browser there is no communication between any of these files and our servers. You can freely share or post your exported works online.

A

If you opted to create a full or partial backup of your PSD during the export process then it will also appear in the destination folder.

B

Simply double-click the index.html file to view your presentation in your local browser.
